Simon Dybbroe Møller was born 1976 in Aarhus (DK), lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. Møller displays his urge to understand the visual culture through his artistic practice. He investigates through media, embodies the references of art history, architecture and literature. The usage of various materials in his work is in tune with the different media he chooses to reflect his standing. He realises performances, wall paintings, sculptures, installations, as well as reconstructs spaces and objects. Møller establishes an interplay with the references such as colors depicted in famous paintings and thus constructs a strong link with what has been done before. Commenting on various issues and discourses is highly visible in his works as well as the wide-ranging content. Møller goes on to relate between image and perception, the possibility of innovation and the relaxation of enabling mistakes.
