Bustrip to the opening at the Ursula Blickle Foundation
We are happy to invite you to join us on a small trip to Kraichtal.
The first part of the exhibition Pensée Sauvage opens on Saturday 19 May, 7 pm at the Ursula Blickle Foundation in Kraichtal-Unteröwisheim, near Bruchsal. Frankfurter Kunstverein has organized a 50-seat bus. Departure is at 4:30pm from the coach stop at Paulskirche with another pick up at around 5:15pm at the central station in Darmstadt. To reserve a seat please email with name, telephone number and boarding location (Frankfurt or Darmstadt) to assistenz@fkv.de before May 18. Departure to Frankfurt is scheduled for ca. 00.00h

The title of this international group exhibition has been borrowed from the French anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss' seminal book La pensée sauvage (1962). Pensée sauvage means not only "wild thinking," but also "wild pansy," a very common wild flower of the family of the violet. One of the most intriguing questions of our time is if it is possible to be a "wild flower;" namely, how one can deconstruct fear as well as being an authority and start taking initiative. The works presented in the exhibition suggest that there is always another chance to reverse the history of the world: to take the liberty to think and act otherwise. This is freedom.

Pensée Sauvage is a production of the Ursula Blickle Foundation in co-operation with the Frankfurter Kunstverein and will be shown at both venues simultaneously.
