Simon Starling | 25.11. 2006 – 21.01. 2007
As of the 24th of November the Heidelberger Kunstverein will be showing two new pieces by Simon Starling. Both works, of which one was specifically produced for the show in Heidelberg, deal with processes of autodestruction. A series of large format slides with the title „Autoxylopyrocycloboros“ document a trip with a steam launch that ends up leading nowhere. The other spectacular piece, „Los Angeles, 3rd – 5th March // To Indefinite Expansion“, is made up of a extreme enlargement of a photograph taken in Los Angeles in March 1969.
