C.Ar.D.- Contemporary Art and Design – Percorsi d'arte nelle Collie piacentine

 C.Ar.D. (www.cardcard.it) è una grande manifestazione d'arte contemporanea distribuita in 11 sedi differenti lungo un arco di oltre 35 km nella Val Tidone e nella Val Luretta e sarà una straordinaria occasione per far conoscere questo territorio e le sue eccellenti risorse a un vasto pubblico italiano e internazionale. C.Ar.D. nasce dalla convinzione dei suoi ideatori che una natura incontaminata ed edifici storici, agricoli e industriali del passato recente o remoto possano integrarsi e interagire con opere d'arte e di design attualissime esaltandone le qualità espressive e nel contempo acquistando da questa convivenza una vitalità nuova e inaspettata. 

Dal 12 settembre al 12 ottobre le colline piacentine saranno la meravigliosa cornice di un evento culturale e artistico con caratteristiche particolarmente innovative. Venti artisti internazionali (pittori, scultori, fotografi e designers) sono stati chiamati a presentare le loro opere in luoghi tipici e ben rappresentativi del tessuto urbano e architettonico di quattro Comuni delle Valli, e in molti casi a crearle appositamente ispirandosi ai luoghi prescelti: cascine rurali di antico impianto e tradizione, magazzini tipicamente novecenteschi dei Consorzi Agrari, piccoli edifici industriali o ricreativi e infine le varie rocche e i castelli densi di storia che punteggiano un territorio le cui millenarie vicende lasciano visibile tracce fin dall'età Romana.

Non si tratterà solo di vedere mostre con opere provenienti da fuori, ma – soprattutto per gli abitanti – di ospitare e convivere per un certo periodo con gli artisti e i designers che si sono impegnati a realizzare in loco gran parte dei lavori che saranno esposti e installati, trasformando in studi e laboratori d'arte gli spazi concessi con entusiasmo e generosità da alcuni imprenditori e operatori locali.

Infine, ed è forse questa la sua caratteristica più peculiare, C.Ar.D. è una manifestazione spontanea, nata dallo sforzo generoso dei suoi ideatori e organizzatori e, soprattutto, dalla straordinaria energia che è scaturita dall'incontro con gli artisti e dal passa parola che essi stessi hanno alimentato dando vita a una progressiva cooptazione di nuove individualità creative fino a formare un gruppo omogeneo e nello stesso tempo variato e compatto. Ciò ha fatto sì che già oggi si parli con interesse e curiosità di questo evento nell'ambiente dell'arte e nelle cerchie intellettuali ed economiche che ruotano intorno ad esso, rendendo familiari i nomi di queste località prima quasi sconosciuti: massima garanzia di una comunicazione diretta ed efficace e non meramente pubblicitaria delle bellezze e delle risorse di queste valli.

C.Ar.D. si snoderà per la durata di un mese lungo un percorso ad anello nelle cittadine di Pianello Val Tidone, Agazzano, Piozzano e Gazzola, con 19 mostre differenti in 11 luoghi diversi, e con eventi, conferenze, incontri e proiezioni, offrendo a questa meravigliosa terra dell'Emilia, generosa di scorci storico-artistici e ricchissima di tradizioni enogastronomiche, uno degli spaccati più interessanti e promettenti dell'arte e del design contemporanei: un viaggio, fisico ed emotivo, nel cuore dell'arte del nostro tempo e in perenne dialogo coi luoghi della tradizione e della storia.

Paolo Baldacci, storico dell'arte e collezionista, è noto a livello internazionale per i suoi studi sul Futurismo, su de Chirico e sull'Arte Metafisica.

Daniela Volpi, architetto di grandi qualità inventive e di riconosciuta esperienza, è stata per 14 anni Presidente dell'Ordine degli Architetti di Milano,

a stretto contatto coi principali fenomeni che hanno reso la metropoli lombarda capitale del design internationale.

Three Sisters at Vrångsholmen


Please feel warmly invited to visit Three Sisters at Vrångsholmen at Vrångsholmen, Sweden for the three-day opening 5-7 of September.

Vrångsholmen was built in 1907 as a reformatory for problematic young boys from Gothenburg. Around the same time Anton Tjechov wrote his play Three Sisters, a story about the three sisters Olga, Mahsa and Irina's life and their dissatisfaction about living in the Russian countryside, far away from their home town Moscow.

The artists realising the group invention Three Sisters at Vrångsholmen are Josefin Arnell, Adam Fearon, Nina Fránková, Jana Fröberg, Max Göran, Lukas Heistinger, Ingela Ihrman, Eli Levén, Anders Nilsson, Filippa Pettersson and Inger Wold Lund.

Since 2012 tête has been run by a group of artists, musician and curator as a timeshared space. Each participant independently runs the space and pays the rent for their time. In the spirit of this system that has been working quite well, we would like to experiment the same system on a smaller timescale but with the much larger creative community of berlin.

What you will get:

  • An opportunity to exhibit in tête, organize an event(s), performance(s), anything else you can imagine. You will receive the keys to tête & be completely independent.
  • We will promote the program on the tête website & send out a email to our mailing list.
  • You will have temporary access as admin to the tete Facebook page to promote your event
  • Any documentation you provide will be added to the tête website after the event.

minimum rental of 3 days
maximum rental of 7 days

price for 1 weekday = 40eu
price for 1 weekend day ( fri, sat, sun ) = 60eu

A 100eu refundable deposit will be asked for each rental.
